Chief Executive Officer
Jeff Farris is the CEO of PDX Inc. and serves on its board of directors.
Before being named CEO in 2012, Jeff was PDX’s president and was responsible for all of the company’s nationwide sales and operations as well as end-to-end management of software development, services, and support. As PDX president over more than 600 people—the vast majority being software engineers focused entirely on pharmacy system technology—Jeff played a key role in the highly successful introduction of the new Enterprise Pharmacy System (EPS). The underpinnings of that development included the introduction of a new agile development process along with initiating an off-shore software center in India to enhance and accelerate the quality assurance portion of development. Jeff credits a familiar quote from Amazon’s CEO for his approach to the pharmacy business: “Listen to what the customer needs and then work backwards.”
Prior to joining PDX, Jeff was the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Interflex Management Systems (IMS) based in San Antonio, TX. His responsibilities included all of IMS sales and support services nationwide.
Jeff is a life-long Texan. He and his wife, Shawn, of more than 33 years enjoy spending time with their four children and five grandchildren. Jeff is active in his church, even officiating a few weddings. His love of golf and baseball are overshadowed only by his love of boating and fishing.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (MT) from Howard Payne University with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. His entire career has been focused on healthcare technology.
Certifications include: Health Information System Technology from Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), with focus on the safe and secure transfer of healthcare data; and MT from ASCP.
